KCC Kids Prepare for Serving Others This Summer

KCC Kids are accepting the challenge of 210 Days of Service and want to include you as well.  On June 6th we will be having our Second Annual Mini-Mission Trip.  We will be traveling to Bridge City, Texas, a city devastated by Hurricane Ike.  We will be planting plants to help replace those lost to the storm.  It is a way for our children to volunteer, and we are inviting any person of any age that would like to work with us to join us this year.

We are also scheduled in June to work at the Houston Food Bank.  Anyone 8 years and older will be able to join us that day.  Last year our current 4th, 5th, and 6th graders volunteered at the Food Bank, and I challenge any of you to work as hard as they did.

This summer will also offer opportunities for fun!  A zoo trip is planned for May.  A family cookout and VBS is planned in June.  In July we will participate in the Kingwood 4th of July Parade and Church Camps in Gonzales.  August will find us hosting our 2nd Annual Basketball Camp and a trip to the Children’s Museum in Houston.

There is so much to do this summer at KCC!
