About Kingwood Christian Church
We are so glad that you have found us! It is our hope that you will feel “at home” at Kingwood Christian Church and join us for worship. It is our prayer that God will bless you through your worship experience with us. Sunday worship services are held at 10:45 am. Here is information that might be helpful to you and your family.
Members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) celebrate open communion. That means anyone who is a follower of Jesus Christ is invited to participate in communion. On most Sundays, we celebrate communion by passing the bread and cup (grape juice) along the pews. You are invited to take the bread and juice when it is passed to you and then pass the tray along to your neighbor.
Professional nursery care is available for babies and toddlers. Ask one of our greeters in the foyer to direct you to the nursery so that you can meet our staff and see for yourself this wonderful space created for your little one.
KCC encourages older children to participate in the first half of worship, and then enjoy Children’s Church, which is provided for children ages 4 through second grade. Listen for the Children’s Church announcement before the sermon. At that time, the director of Children’s Church will be available at the back of the sanctuary to guide children to Children’s Church. Parents are welcome to accompany their children and meet the leaders.
Assisted listening devices are available in the foyer to help members and guests participate more fully in worship. Speak to one of our greeters who will be happy to help you.
If you have a need for special prayer, our KCC Prayer Team would be honored to pray for you. Please complete a Prayer Request Card (located in the pews) and place it in the offering plate when it is passed during worship.
