NEWS ALERT – ELEV8 WILL NOW BE HELD ON JUNE 1ST. WE POSTPONED FROM ORIGINAL 5/11 DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS AND FLOODING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
The Grenada Mission Team is getting excited for our 2019 Grenada Mission Trip, which is 11 weeks away. The team of 18 will be traveling to Grenada June 28-July 8 to work at the Victoria School for Special Education in the town of Victoria. The work project includes building a gazebo which will be used as an accessible outdoor learning space, among other smaller projects. The projected cost of the project is $10,000 USD. In addition to the work project, team members will have an opportunity to experience the beauty and hospitality of this little island in the Caribbean, where mission trip coordinator Ryan Nelson-Paryag grew up.
The Mission Team members are responsible for their trip costs of $1700 and Kingwood Christian Church will contribute $2500 toward the work project leaving $7500 for us to raise in the next 11 weeks. We will be collecting school supplies to bring with us and would be happy to accept monetary donations to help us meet our $10,000 goal for the work project. Our first fundraiser will be ELEV8 on Saturday, JUNE 1st from 7-9pm, an art show and auction with dessert and coffee and live musical entertainment. Stay tuned in the weeks ahead for ways you can help! Click the button below to register for the event and for ticket info.
